WHAT IS MICROSOFT BING ?

Microsoft Bing is a global web search engine, which is developed and controlled by microsoft. Microsoft collaborated with Open AI, to develop their search engine accompanied by GPT-4, which is the most recent version of generative pre-trained transformers. For a long time, Microsoft has been an investor of Open AI.

WHAT ARE THE USES OF MICROSOFT BING ?

Microsoft bing offers a great variety, in which it can be used. Some of them are as follows:

1. Search engine:- Microsoft bing  is a global web search engine, which offers a wide search service. Users are able to ask or search any query about any product or question.
2. Search suggestions:- Like many social media plattform, the notable feature of bing is that it suggests search suggestions or spelling mistakes in questions.
3. AI chatbot:- In february 2023, microsoft launched its own AI chatbot (later named as microsoft copilot). It is engaged with GPT-4 for precise response.
4. Generate images:- Users can also give commands to create images. To use this feature users need to sign in and then they are able to enjoy this feature.
5. Mobile application:- Bing is available for ios and for android as well as an mobile application.
6. Content creation:- This AI can also be used to create unique content, phrases, essays, letters, like other chatbots.
7. Change in mode:- Users can change mode. Three modes are provided-MORE CREATIVE, MORE BALANCED, MORE PRECISE. Users can choose between these three modes as they want for their answer.
8. Translate:- It can also be used as a medium of translation of any text to any certain language . It can translate over hundreds of languages. 
9. Virtual assistant:- It can also be used as a virtual assistant , which can be used to set alarms or any other virtual works.
10.  Currency conversion:- It can be also used to convert currency or to know the value of currency in different countries.

HOW TO USE MICROSOFT BING ?  

Firstly, Users need to open the  Bing app or go to the official website of Bing.

Secondly, Sign in or log in to the microsoft account , enter password. Users can also sign in with other options, with github. 

Thirdly, now the user can enjoy the service and ask questions. 

WHAT ARE THE LIMITATIONS OF BING ?

1. One of the major disadvantage or limitation of bing is that it allows only 30 chats per session and 300 chats per day, even after being logged in. Previously it was even less, allowing 10 chats per session and 120 chats per day.
2. This limitation was introduced by Microsoft when it was found that this AI was found lying and influencing people emotionally.
3. It is used in very less manner in competition with google. People use google because of brand familiarity and trust as a secured website.
4. This AI doesn’t display broadly about the related topic, searched.
5. This AI can generate responses which are not true, that is, responses can be fiction.
6. It takes more time to generate responses as compared to other LLM(large language models).

 BING VS  CHAT GPT ?

Microsoft bing has some advantages and disadvantages as compared to chat gpt. Bing uses a more advanced language model as compared to chat gpt. Bing uses GPT-4 while chat gpt uses GPT-3. Chat gpt allows users to use GPT-4 through paid subscription, while it’s free to use in Bing. Bing offers a variety of types of search as well like:- it provides three types of search (a) More creative (b) More balanced (c) More precise. Bing restricts users to chat only 300 chats per day while in case of chat gpt it is endless. Chat gpt can assist as a more efficient assistant compared to Bing.
