BSNL has launched a new 395-day cheap plan in various Indian states. Know here.

BSNL is a major telecom company of India and it is also one of the oldest in the country, and is gearing up to launch 4G services across the country in various states. This service is going to launch at a time when all the private sector telecom companies are prepared to hike their recharge plans including JIO, Airtel and VI as well. The recharge plan with a massive validity of 395 days is one of BSNL’s flagship offerings. 

2399 plan details 

Costing 2,399, this new plan will cost around ₹200 per month. Subscribers will get 2GB of high-speed data every day, 100 free SMS and unlimited voice calls across the country on all networks. Along with this, the plan also includes free nationwide roaming, and also includes several value-added services such as Zing Music, BSNL Tunes, Hardy Games, Challenger Arena Games, and GameOn Astrotel. 

Impact of price increases by private operators.

Meanwhile, private telcos such as Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone have recently hiked prices of several plans, affecting both prepaid and postpaid users, with potentially millions of customers feeling the impact.These companies maintain their monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans, although the prices have increased. 

New Airtel’s plan 

Airtel has made adjustments to maintain consistency in the pricing of various popular plans, aimed at ensuring a balance between services and upgrades. The plans include significant changes, such as 1GB/day for 28 days, which was earlier priced at Rs 265, is now Rs 299; 1.5GB/day for 28 days, which was earlier priced at Rs 299, is now Rs 349; and 2GB/day for 28 days, which was earlier priced at Rs 359, is now Rs 409.

The update mentions that the price of the 1.5GB/day plan for 84 days has been increased from 719 to 859, and the 2GB/day plan for 84 days is priced at 979, up from 839 earlier. Also, the price of the 2.5GB/day plan for 365 days has also now been increased from 2,999 to 3,599. 

Jio’s revised plan 

Reliance Jio has changed its tariffs, affecting many popular plans. Accordingly, the company’s two annual prepaid plans will now be available for 1,899 and 3,599, which were earlier 1,559 and  2,999. Other notable changes include that the 2GB/day plan for 28 days is now priced at 349, up from 299, and the 1.5GB/day plan for 28 days is priced at 299, up from 239. Additionally, the 3GB/day plan for 28 days remains at 449. 

BSNL is set to witness changes in preparation for the launch of 4G services, which could lead to significant changes in the competitive landscape in the Indian telecom sector. Earlier this telecom company launched another cheap plan. Read here to know
